MAST 2010 (Rome) delegate discount ends next week

The deadline to book your place for MAST 2010 (Rome) at the heavily discounted early-bird rates is 23rd July.

If you are planning to attend the sixth conference in the MAST series, save nearly 20% on the onsite registration fee, by registering now.

Prices have remained fixed at 2009 rates – themselves little changed since launch – and the MAST 2010 delegate package is the most comprehensive ever, certainly unmatched by other events. Paying delegates receive:

  • Access to conference sessions
  • Hot lunches (from top-level kitchen)
  • Refreshments during conference breaks
  • Ongoing access to updated final papers, presentations, speakers’ bios etc.
  • Official delegate bag/merchandise
  • Preferential consideration for invitation to VIP functions

Those paying to attend the opening day will also receive a complimentary ticket to join VIPs, exhibitors, authors, TCC, and organisers at the renowned MAST Supper Party (great food & drink, music/entertainment, and networking).

BMD/Weapons to become key MAST technology area

BMD systems in operation

Following feedback from past MAST delegates, MAST’s Technical Conference Committee (TCC) and organizers will deliver a conference (and exhibition) that mirrors the growing international interest in this area, not least sea-based Ballistic Missile Defense.

Alongside regular surface and undersea conference technology areas (e.g. Sensors, Countermeasures, Communications, Coastal/Harbor Surveillance and Security, Combat Management Systems, and Platforms), MAST (Rome) will feature the most BMD/Weapons (including Lasers) papers ever. Example papers include several from industry leaders, Lockheed Martin, e.g. “Potential Sea-Based Platforms for Europe/NATO Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD)” and “Application of Aegis Systems Ashore”.

Additionally, this year’s exhibition will feature the most diverse showcase of prominent and innovative global systems and platforms suppliers ever.

In the same hall as Diamond event patrons Finmeccanica (whose companies include Agusta Westland; Selex (Sensors and Airborne Systems, Galileo, Communications and Sistemi Integrati); Oto Melara; WASS), you will find market leaders such as Raytheon and MBDA (who will exhibit their Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS)), Fincantieri (with Littoral Combat Ship), and of course a plethora of other regular MAST exhibitors.

  • Visit the MAST site for complete event details, and information on how you can take part.

Sheraton offers best accommodation rates

Sheraton Rome

At just €180/night, the official/HQ Hotel for MAST in Rome (Sheraton) are some of the best available to MAST participants (exhibitors/authors/delegates/etc).

The hotel has excellent facilities (as you would expect of the chain), is just 5 minutes by taxi from the MAST 2010 venue, and will host the MAST Supper Party.

Those of you wishing to experience some of the Eternal City’s famous landmarks can use the hotel shuttle: for just €3 return, the regular service will take you to/from the heart of Rome’s old town (by the Trevi Fountain).

MAST comes home

Next year will see MAST return to its ‘country of birth’ for the first time since launch.

Between 27–29 June 2011, MAST Europe will return to the Cote d’Azur, this time in historic Marseille.

The French Navy has pledged total support to host the event and has expressed its intention to make at least one ship available for visits, close to the venue.

Exhibitors taking part at this year’s event in Rome will be offered a special package rate to take space at both shows.

  • If you are interested in exhibiting, please contact Mark Colyer now to request the floor-plan/reserve space – email mark.colyer@mastconfex.com or call: +44 (0)7825 152312.
