Countdown to MAST Americas
In just a few weeks (22–24 June) MAST Americas will unite international undersea, surface and joint systems experts to discuss and debate collaboration towards global maritime security.
With US CNO, Admiral Gary Roughead, giving the Opening/Keynote address, and setting the standard for the week, you will find no more senior-level navy presentation at any such conference this year.
The senior-level of speakers throughout the programme is equally impressive, and with every Program Executive Officer (PEO) – SUBs, SHIPS, IWS, and LMW – taking part in an exclusive panel session, you will get the inside track on future program requirements.
Complementary to this, respected analysts AMI will host a special session identifying business opportunities and evolving markets across the globe.
The educational outreach day will provide an interface between participants and academic institutions fostering knowledge growth in tomorrow’s security and defence leaders – one of which will receive the very first VADM J. Guy Reynolds Memorial Award.
MAST events typically attract over 1,800 participants, and with some 60 VIPs (senior-level flag officers and civilian equivalent) boosting numbers, delegates are assured to meet major decision makers from over 30 countries.
The trade-show continues to grow every day, and you will see technology demonstrations from world-leading and innovative suppliers.
Unlike many events, MAST Americas social functions are free-of-charge to all delegates, authors, exhibitors, VIPs, etc. not least the no-expense-spared MAST Americas Supper Party.
Some levels of participation are free-of-charge, so don’t miss this year’s most senior-level, authoritative maritime security/defence event. Book now at www.mastamericas.com.
US Coast Guard backs MAST Americas – featured paper
MAST Americas organisers are delighted to announce an exclusive paper to be given by the US Coast Guard’s Science & Technology Advisor (George Guy Thomas).
George Guy Thomas conceived and helped invent AIS from space, and was instrumental in putting the first receivers in space.
His presentation – “Collaboration in Space for International Global Maritime Awareness” – will discuss dramatic changes in many aspects of maritime operations beyond and including surveillance, and detail work between the coast guard and the State department over the last 8 months on how to implement many aspects of surveillance and more.
Hyatt extends government per-diem allocation
In response to considerable demand from government and service personnel booking for next month’s MAST Americas 2010, venue/official hotel The Hyatt Regency has extended the deadline for accommodation for at least one more week.
MAST Americas periodically emails all members of the MAST Americas Community with information on the MAST Americas event and related matters.
